Serge Pit, owner and founder of Tuning Studio Pit Box, was born in Siberia, near Lake Baikal in Russia.

After visiting an auto show with his father, Sergei fell in love with cars. He studied automotive magazines and was immediately carried away by it.

His mother worked as a salesman in a car store and he often helped people install car alarms and car radios on cars. Once, a client bought a car stereo in his car and when he was offered assistance with installation, he was skeptical that a 12-year-old boy could help him in any way. He said that he would do everything himself. The next day, the client brought a burnt-out radio tape recorder, asked Sergei to fix it and help him install it. And there were many such cases. Someone did not know how to change spare parts on a car, someone needed help with an electrician, and someone wanted Sergey to help make his car more beautiful, protected or passable.

After Sergei graduated from high school, he no doubt knew that he wanted to continue doing what he loved – working with cars. Sergei entered the Automotive College, the Faculty of Car and Engine Service. And while studying, he got a job in a large company called Auto-Profi to work on installing car alarms and additional equipment. At that time in Russia it was all just beginning, it was very difficult to find specialists, and therefore this work was highly appreciated and well paid. Of the 20 recruited specialists, on a competitive basis, having passed tests and practical assignments, only two were recruited. Among them was 17-year-old Sergei, who, due to his age, was previously treated very skeptically.

Having received a diploma of graduation from a technical school, Sergey realized that the company in which he works is engaged in a very narrow sector of improving cars. Yes, at that time, customers looked at the installer of alarm systems as a god, when he opened or closed the doors of the car from the remote control, and when the car engine started itself it was beyond the understanding of people how it is possible.

But Sergei wanted more. And in 2001, at the age of 20, he decided to open his own Tuning-Studio Pit-Stop car improvement store. It has already offered not only an auto electrician and car security installation. Services such as installation of professional music and video systems in cars were added; noise and vibration isolation of cars; headlight protection; installation and tuning of sports exhaust systems; production and installation of sports body kits for cars, lifting off-road vehicles and installation of air shock absorbers; replacement of windshields;

and a new direction for Russia: repair of cracks on car glass; glass polishing; strengthening of glass of cars and buildings in classes A1, A2 and A3

and, of course, tinting of windows of cars and buildings with professional American film Llumar. There was even a special slogan “Protect your business and your privacy from prying eyes”. Sergei already knew a lot, but he had to constantly learn a lot, as well as teach employees, because specialists in this profession were completely absent in Siberia at that time. Sergey and his team constantly kept their finger on the automotive pulse of Russia and of course continued to learn by attending various foreign trainings and bringing their experience and Russian pedantry to high-quality car tuning.

In 2003 Sergey built a large shop in the city of Irkutsk, Russia, in a big city, in the regional center. Everything was fine, the shops were working, people were being trained, and the cars were becoming more beautiful, smarter and, most importantly, more individual. All but one thing – Sergey’s desire to move closer to Moscow and away from the winter with temperatures of minus 67F.

In 2005 Sergey sold his shops and went to live in the city of St. Petersburg, Russia. As soon as he got used to his new place, Sergey opened a new shop, only now with the name Tuning-Studio Pit-Box.Ru, and after a while another one. The new shops offered the same services as in Siberia, but also added some additional ones, including the now-fashionable service for wrapping cars with special vinyl and designer tinted glass.

Sergey really liked to change cars, make them unique and individual according to the taste and needs of their owners. Someone just wanted to hide behind the tinted windows, someone wanted to see the design of their club on their car, and someone needed a very topical glass protection in Russia so that even a baseball bat could not break the glass of his car and additional bolts on the doors … Some wanted black matte cars with sports mufflers and super low ground clearance, while others wanted a painting as a gift for their mother on her Porsche with colorful butterflies flying out of a rainbow cloud. Someone only wanted extra engine power, while most just needed a sports body kit and a painted engine valve cover with rims. Sergey and his team liked to see satisfied clients, each of whom received their own little dream of individuality and beauty. The slogan of the Tuning-Studio Pit-Box.Ru company was “Tuning to your taste and your desires …”.

Everything in this part of Russia, more than 4,000 miles from its first shop, was going well. Cooperated with Europe and America, shared experience and ordered various innovations, attended trainings and received certificates.

But in 2014, Russia, not without the help of its president, “went down the drain …”. And in the wake of this and the possibility of people for a more or less decent life. People have become absolutely inaccessible not only tuning and styling cars, but also simply buying and maintaining a car.

The Tuning Studio Pit Box lasted for several more years, occasionally tuning cars, but mainly by opening various other businesses. Sergey and his wife had twins and they decided to leave Russia.

No sooner said than done. The whole family moved, not forgetting even a cat in Russia, to Brooklyn, NY, USA. To understand America and get used to it, Sergei worked in different companies and in different fields. But due to the experience and the Russian approach in some shops in New York, they noticed that when Sergei is engaged in cars, whether it is assembling and disassembling cars, wrapping cars, electrical work, car stereo, light or air suspension of cars, he does everything 100% with high quality and without breaking anything. Especially for him, they began to take into work luxury and extra sports cars, such as Lamborghini, Bentleys, Rolls-Royces and others.

After living a little in New York and settling in America, Sergey and his family realized that the financial starting bar for opening their own business in New York is very high, plus 2020 has hit the city decently. And they decided, like many others, to move to another place. Sergey always wanted to live where it is warm and where there are many beautiful cars. Usually, where there is a lot of sun, there people love everything beautiful, including styling and tuning cars. It was decided to move to Florida, to Tampa Bay Aria and here again the same Tuning Studio Pit Box… but without Ru.

Sergey has come a long way from the boy who loved cars and helped people make their cars a little bit better. The reputation and experience of Sergei, will also manifest themselves here as perseverance and love for cars showed themselves back in 2001 in the first open shop in distant Siberia, almost 7000 miles from Paradise, in which he is going to live with his family. Sergey is happily married and is the father of two great twin guys. A father who is still driven by the desire to make dreams come true, which you will see in the Tuning Studio Pit Box.
